Tbox no longer records

My Tbox stopped recording and says that the hard drive is being checked...it's been like this for a week.  No longer allows fast forward,etc.

Old age has claimed it. Your hard drive has failed. Time for the scrapheap, I'm afraid.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
