Keypad options not working on 101 service (Telstra T-hub phone)

The keypad doesn't allow me to operate the features of the 101 Message bank i.e. to delete a message by pressing 5 nothing happens - as in it apprears not be recognizing that the key has been pressed.

Any suggestions?

The solution to this problem is to removed the battery from the handset and power off the modum,  Wait a few minutes and then power everything back up.
