Sending out messages to TIPT phones

Does anyone know if its possible to send messages to group TIPT phones.  Just thinking one day may have to use it to send out messages to staff.

Hi MaJoJax4,

 

Depenidng on what you want to do, it may require different features. I suggest talking to your account team, or request assistance from a TIPT trainer \ detailer.

 

If you mean 'paging' functionality, there is a 'Push to Talk' feature in TIPT that can be used along with 'Instant Group Calling' that can 'page\call' a group of users (there is a maximum number though (approx. 12) -- I also suggest prepending your destination numbers with 'Diversion Inhibitor' (*80) to prevent calls going to some VMs while you're trying to page something). (IE in the IGC setup add the users as *80EXTENSION or *80NUMBER)

 

If you want to leave voice mails for a group of users, again you could use an 'Instant Group Call' configuration but prepend with 'Direct Voice Mail Transfer' functionality (*55). I believe there may be other options via the Voice Portal to perform something similar.

 

I'm not currently aware of any features that would provide an 'SMS' like message to display on a handset.
