you recently posted about an update to firmware & search functionality on polycom handsets.
I have done as you suggested and updated our firmware. I have enabled the custom tags as you describe. The function menu appears on the phone however shows no contacts.
When I login to the TIPT Telstra Ip Telephony page and go into 'common phone list' under the utilities menu - this shows 2 entries I have added manually - yet they do not appear on the handsets themselves.
Is this the right area to enter the common enterprise contacts? If not where do I enter them. If it is correct why would they not be displaying on the phones?
We are using The VVX-411 polycom handsets.

Mark - for them to appear in enterprise common contacts you need to add them into the enterprise directory in comm pilot , not the group level common phone list.
If you want to use the group directory then use the tags
BSOFTGROUPDIR_ENABLE value = 1
or if you want personal directory to show then use the tags
BSOFTPERSONALDIR_ENABLE value = 1
