Upload and Apply Music on Hold

Login as admin

Select announcement repository

Select add and upload the MoH file and name it

Then Click on services in the left hand menu – then music on hold

Select Group in the MoH section – then select custom and choose the file name that you previously uploaded. Press apply

When uploading a file here I am getting a message that it is to large and has to be under 5Mb.

This is a very small file size for a .wav file, even when the bitrate is downgraded.

Is this a hard limit or can it be adjusted?

That's correct.

Wav is the recommended format.

• CCITT, a-law codec
• 8.000 kHz
• 8 bit mono
• .WAV file type

MAX sizes below

Voicemail:

  Max Message Length = 2 minutes

  Max Mailbox Length = 20 minutes

Greetings and Announcements etc.

• Voice Message Greeting Max Audio File Size Kilobytes = 3840

• Auto Attendant Greeting Max Audio File Size Kilobytes = 3840

• Music On Hold Max Audio File Size Kilobytes = 5000

• Call Center Max Audio File Size Kilobytes = 2460

• Announcement Repository Audio File Max Size Kilobytes = 5000
