ICS update for Xoom 2

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone knew when the ICS update for the Xoom2 is being released by Telstra. From messages on this forum I believe it is already available for the Xoom.

 

Secondly anyone know when Foxtel will be available on this tablet? I have just received a letter from them saying this feature is available on Ipad and Androids running ICS. Guess the release date will solve both of my questions.

I gave up waiting for someone from Telstra to reply. This is the official reply from Motorola support. Not good news for Xoom2 owners I am afraid.

We do apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. Android 4.x (Ice Cream Sandwich) for your XOOM 2 is currently not available. ICS upgrade rollout for your tablet begins in the 3rd quarter of this year. For more information about Motorola Android Software updates, you may visit:
https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c
Alternatively, you may check our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/motorolaaus. Facebook account & website notifications will be released 2 weeks before respective product ICS releases.
When it becomes available, you will receive a notification on your device and you may accept the update. Manually, you can download the update by going to Apps, Settings, About Tablet, and select system updates (when update is available). If you have further questions or need additional assistance, please contact our Cellular Information Center at 1300 138 823. Our business hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, GMT +10 and we are closed on Sunday and National Public Holidays.

Yeh, i have a Xoom 2 as well, it is interesting how the ICS is rolled out to the older models first. oh well, guess have to wait then

Now that we are a third through Q3 has anyone heard how the testing is going? I'm really running out of enthusiasm for the xoom 2 running android 3.2.2. Apart from other bugs, I would like to use my cheap chinese ebay bluetooth keyboard and integrated mouse but the bluetooth connection is so buggy with this version of android (or is it a xoom 2 issue). My samsung galaxy s2 with ics works a treat with the keyboard and mouse and i am assuming that it is the ics i'm running on it that has fixed the bluetooth problems. The xoom 2 can connect to the device but when i turn off either the xoom 2 or keyboard that's the end of the connection. I then have to power off the xoom 2, unpair, and pair again just to start up the connection again.

any update from Telstra on this one? Xoom 2 owners should have had ICS 3 months ago!
