Mobile Foxtel on Xoom 2 - Device not supported

Answered

I just recently purchased a Motorola Xoom 2 on the Telstra data plan.

I am trying to install the mobile foxtel application.

However when I go to select which device to install on it says that the device is not support and will not install.

I believe that the application should work. Is there a way to bypass this restriction or are there any plans to add this model to the list of supported devices?

Re: Mobile Foxtel on Xoom 2 - Device not supported

Hi CraigAlexnder,

Great to see you making use of CS, and as always Ben is right on the money, so currently Mobile FOXTEL has not been released for the XOOM2, however, it is currently being tested so we hope to have an update on the actual launch date within the next 2 weeks.

Once I have more information I'll be back to let you know...

Thanks

The app isn't supported, and there were mentions that its on the radar but no ETA yet.

If you go to Mobile Foxtel via http://m.bigpond.com on your tablet, does this work at all?

If I go to that page on the Tablet I see a link labelled "Mobile FOXTEL - Watch Now!"

I can then see a Free Preview link and can see a video.

I do not see any options to subscribe to the other channels

I see an option that says "What's on now?" and if I click that, then click the channel I require, I can subscribe.... This is on an iPad connected via 3G.

Re: Mobile Foxtel on Xoom 2 - Device not supported

Does anyone know what tablets are supported?  I'm looking at purchasing either the Asus TF300T or TF700T.

Re: Mobile Foxtel on Xoom 2 - Device not supported

Hi digger004,

The tablets that support Mobile FOXTEL are:

*Motorola MZ601 (Xoom)

*Motorola MZ616 (Xoom 2)

*Samsung GT-P7320T (P5)

*Acer A501 (Iconia)

*Apple iPad 1, 2 and 3

Unfortunately neither the Asus TF300T or the TF700T are currently supported.

Thanks,

Bridget
