Changing Pre Paid to Post Paid

I placed an order to have my pre paid changed to a post paid plan (Phone). This was 5 days ago and when I track my order it now tells me there is some problem. I am wondering do I need to have credit on my pre paid for the change to occur.  I have phoned Telstra and the lady I spoke to couldn't even find me on the system using my phone number.  Is it because I don't have any credit?

Hi, may I ask if you contacted our Pre Paid Team directly on 125 8887 and would you have an order ref # for the move to a Post Paid connection?
