I cant seem to be able to contact anyone at Telstra about this. Their 24x7 chat doesn't have anyone available. I have had to change my pre-paid mobile and the SIM card out of the old one doesnt fit the newer model phone. It is a different shape. I want to use the number off my old SIM on the new phone/sim. How do I go about transferring the number to the new SIM? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Drop into a Telstra store or any phone shop they should be able to assist

HI There - I am over 2600km away from the nearest Telstra shop so this isnt a solution I can use. I have managed to call them - but apparently they cant transfer the old pre-paid sim number over to a new pre-paid sim number. I need a blank activated sim which I cant easily get hold of. Might have to forfeit the old number and just use the new one. Gggrrrr.

They should be able to do a SIM replacement but it would be sent by post and can take 1-5 days to arrive typically (depending on post reaching you).
