Telstra Tough Max ZTE T84 "Headphone in use " icon displaying when headphones not plugged in

What does one do when the icon for" the headphone jack is plugged in" is showing and the phone is behaving as the headphones are plugged in when they are not?

Re: Telstra Tough Max ZTE T84 "Headphone in use " icon displaying when headphones not plug

Could have some dirt in the jack. Try using a toothpick or a cotton bud/q-tip with most of the padding ripped off and dig around in the jack to see if you can get anything out of it

Alternatively plugging and unplugging the headphones a few times might clear it up as well
