Telstra Tough Max internet issue

I can connect to the the internet by  wifi on my telstra tough max phone but it will not connect when wifi is off  and /or i am not in a wifi area. Everything is turned on correctly or else i would not be able to connect at all.

Thank you. I tried all that so yesterday went into the local telstra store and for some reason there was a bar on my account which  had stopped my  access to the internet on the phone . This has now been removed and all ok.

I would recommend checking the APN Settings on your mobile phone.

 

  1. Select Apps
  2. Select Settings
  3. Under Wireless & Networks
  4. Select More... (depending on your device)
  5. Select Mobile networks
  6. Select Access Point Names
  7. Press Menu
  8. Select New APN
  9. Input the following
    • Name - Telstra Internet
    • APN - telstra.wap
    • APN type - default,supl (depending on your device)
    • Proxy - Not set
    • Port - Not set
    • Username - Not set
    • Password - Not set
    • Server - Not set
    • MMSC - Not set
    • MMSC proxy - Not set
    • MMS port - Not set
    • MCC - 505
    • MNC - 01
    • Authentication type - Not set
    • APN protocol - IPv4 (depending on your device)
    • APN roaming protocol - IPv4 (depending on your device)
    • APN Type - Default,supl (depending on your device)
    • Enable/disable APN - APN Enabled (Tick it)
  10. Press Menu
  11. Select Save


Otherwise, this almost sounds like a restriction on your account. I'd recommend chatting with the team here for assistance if that's the case.
