Rented movie from Bigpond, but keeping getting msg re: no. of devices exceeded

Hi,

I recently registered for Bigpond Movies & have successfully watched a movie after receiving a voucher which enabled me to view the movie free of charge.

So today I decided to rent a movie & so selected a movie & paid.  Bigpond's system told me that the charge would be billed to my Telstra Broadband A/c.... so far all good.

However, when I went to watch the movie I keep getting a message box saying that I have exceeded the no. of devices & did I want to replace a device.  When I select to replace a device the system just seems to continuously looks but never presents any devices to change.

What is also strange is when I go into my settings & look under devices, there are no devices listed. I haven't any other devices except this one so the system is somehow stuffed!

Seems strange that I have successfully watched 1 free movie via Bigpond but can't watch one that I have paid for.  Therefore I want my $$ back please!

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Hi Yastiandrie,

I have since contacted the support team.  But not much joy there.  All I was advised was that Bigpond Movies is not compatible with Macbook Air.  But to be honest I don't see how, as I am able to view trailers of movies & even watched the entire free movie given to me upon registration without any problems.  What's more I couldn't find anywhere on the Bigpond website where it is stated that MacBook Air is incompatible with Bigpond movies.  Perhaps I am not looking in the right places, but it all seems strange to me.  The system seemed compatible enough to take my payment & put the movie I selected into my library ready for me to watch, but just won't let me watch it.

I just wonder if anyone else has had the same problem?
