Telstra Broadband Protect has been installed on my system since Jul 2018 and has not had a successful Update since then. This has been completely useless.
Upload never starts automatically and when I manually start it with the Update Now button, it stops many times and never, ever, ever finishes. The furtherest it gets it with 1Mb to go, no further.
I've rarely seen any part of the product work until completion. Iie. Scan.
Is this even worth persisting with? I wasn't sure if I had a choice too, I remember some bozo saying I had to have it. Does it uninstall cleanly? Are there good free alternatives like there used to be?
Useless. Please advise if anyone else has the same issue and/or has an alternative..
Windows 10, Laptop, ADSL: connection which shows a raging 3 - 5.6Mbps

I'd suggest to deactivate Telstra Broadband Protect, wait 24 hours, and then reactivate it. You can do this via Telstra 24x7 My Account or the Telstra 24x7 App.
