I host client websites on my server, and I've had several clients contact me with an issue with their sending email to Bigpond email addresses as follows:
Subject: Mail delivery failed: returning message to senderThis message was created automatically by mail delivery software.A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of itsrecipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: firstname.lastname@example.org host extmail.bigpond.com [126.96.36.199] SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: 554 nskntcmgw02p BigPond Inbound Connection refused. It looks like my server IP address is being blocked by extmail.bigpond.com for some reason. I have checked all blacklists including Spamhaus, and my IP address is NOT blocked.
I've searched through other posts here, and can't find a resolution. I called the Business Support 1800 number, but got passed to people who still couldn't help me.
I'm hoping a Telstra rep here can assist, as it's affecting my client's ability to contact their own clients who have Bigpond email addresses.

Looks like your stock standard RBL block.
Go to this page: http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Type in your servers IP/domain and see if it is on any blacklists.
If so, then you need to investigate why and resolve that.
Otherwise, you will need to call or livechat them to get this resolved. A ticket will need to be lodged.
