Checking origins of emails received

How can I check the origins of emails sent to my Bigpond email account? I like to know the answer to check if an email is a scam or not. Thank you

Re: Checking origins of emails received

It depends how you are checking your emails. Are you checking via an email client program, mobile device (if so what device and app) or webmail?

The information you are looking for is the message header but be aware these are quite confusing if you do not know what you are looking at. Generally speaking, if you have received an email from a company that you did not contact first or have no arrangement with then its likely a scam.
