This problem happened over the last few weeks where I was asked to enter email password when sending.
It started off occassionaly, then happened more often.
I could get around the problem by just shutting down Outlook and then restarting and the outbox would empty.
Now I am stuck
I tried recreating my profile as per instructions on bigpond site.
When I did the test message during setup, all worked fine.
But still I can receive and not send.
The error I am now getting on send is
Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Thanks for any assistance

If its not outgoing speed the error could be caused by wrong type of encryption on outgoing server.
Click on "File"
Click on "Account Settings"
Double click on your email account.
Click on More settings.
If using port 465 use SSL as security type.
If using port 25 or 587 use TLS
THanks for response.
Outgoing speed is 0.88Mbps
I checked the settings as per reference and made a change.
I am now back to the original problem, asking for my password for sending
Task 'matthew_xxxxxxxxxxx - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.'
