As of the last few days, the BigpondGames Steam content server is no longer working. The server was located at steam.content.bigpondgames.com, can any representatives involved please advise of the new address for the server?

 

I am unsure if this is related to the GameNow shutdown from last month, but this is the only lead I have.

tranceblade, I am not sure what the actual address for the steam server is but I have been advised that we are definitely still providing this service to Telstra customers.

 

midas, you can continue to play BigPond Games, however you may find that some of the smaller games may not activate if they were not already installed. Core games, AAA titles and the like, will still work fine but you need to have downloaded the install files prior to the closure of the store or registered the key with the studio's platform (Steam, uPlay, Origin, etc).

  I Went To Play One Of My Old Favourite Off Line Games The Other Day That I Purchased At Premium Prices At The Time.

To Find That They Require Activating Again. How Can I Play theses Games If There Is No Activating Service Available ? I Did Pay For Them, Why Can't I Play Them Now ?

I have seem something over on Whirlpool, which may be interesting to the Telstra/Bigpond techs

For a closed system, using a closed range of IPs consisting of Bigpond customers, why would the proxy cache need to block any IPs at all? Considering I have reset my modem a few times already, and just only now been issued a working IP for the Bigpond Steam CS.

Hi Telstra,

I didn't know this GamesNow was shutting down???

And now all the money I have spent on the site PLUS all the MB's and GIGS I have brought through Telstra for the downloading of the games and now every single game is useless???

How is this right??

I want to b reimbursed with something please???

i was a member for a very very very long time and now my wife and daughter and I have nothing for all the money we spent!!

its not right that we have all these games but cant play any of them!!!

how about making us smile and helping us out??

I've been with Telstra from my first ever phone and has never ever been with any other phone company..

how about returning all the gigs i brought for downloading the games??

I only buy the browser packs on my prepaid mobile phone and conect it to the computer so we have the internet and for downloading games from GamesNow...
