Free to air hd channels badly interlaced after August 2019 upgrade

We get very bad interlacing in HD free to air channels through the Telstra TV 2 to our television.

It occurs on motion in the picture.

It only started after the August 2019 upgrade.

Aerial direct to TV does not have the issue.

Have tested on 2 televisions and same result.

Can Telstra fix it, or refund our money please!!!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing some trouble with your Telstra TV device. 

 

A factory reset might help fix & you can find instructions for this here


If you have any issues with your Telstra TV, I'd recommend referring to the information here

If you have any further issues or need assistance, our Telstra TV Assurance team will be the best people to investigate & you can contact them on 132200. 

Please say 'Telstra TV' then 'Faults' when prompted.

Have already tried the factory reset. It did nothing to fix.

Hi there, I'm also experiencing this issue on hd channels where movement produces a blur yet the sd channels have clear movement. This is on a Telstra TV 3 btw

Ive had the same problem along with the Live TV "tuning in" for ages every time I turn the TTV3 on. Any updates to the fix??

I have same issue , this issue has started with August update

Still not fixed with October update.

There are no issues with netflix , plex streaming apps.

.

Issue is isolated to  Live TV only  Channel 7 for example .

Re-tuning / factory reset doesnt help .

 

Has this been reported to software / developers yet ?

Hi Dhillons. 

Sorry you are having difficulties.

You can see our online support video here https://tel.st/s2bme for how to troubleshoot apps on the Telstra TV. 

If this does not work I would try deleting the app and then re-installing the app. See instructions here https://tel.st/dphz5.

I would recommend trying a factory reset https://tel.st/q6zqn;

If you are still having issues, please have a chat with our Telstra TV support team on 132200 and say TELSTRA TV then FAULTS. 

If none of the above works, you may need to report the problem directly to the app developer for free to air services, (you can find these by via google search for specific FTA channels you are struggling with) for example you can report 7Plus issues here https://tel.st/ncgdd then it will give them more information to try and figure out what is going wrong (they will send you an email asking for more details, it is important that you respond to it).
