I had an email today about someone completing an online registration on telstra.com to access my account. Did the online chat thing and the guy said this name had access to my account etc. He said that he removed the person but I'm a bis suspicious as he asked for my email to update my account. But it was already on my account. I also got an email whilst he was sorting my issue to complete the account registration. I'm probably being paranoid but does all this sound above board?
Was this helpful?
Did you access online chat via a link in the email or did you use the online chat link on Telstra's web site? If you didn't use any of the links in the email and went to Telstra's website to access online chat you don't have anything to worry about. If it was me I would not click on any off the links in the emails and would ring 132200 to find out what was happening with your account.
I did use the chat via the telstra site so i guess must be OK. Also the guy i was talking with sent the links etc. so they must be OK as well.
If at any point you are concerned that your password is compromised I would suggest changing it at you end, more on how to do that here https://tel.st/mwwak
Let me know if I can help further.
