Video autoplay afl app

How do you stop videos autoplaying in articles on afl app. 

 

So annoying I've stopped using it as it makes noises every time I read

Thanks for your feedback.

 

 As all support for the AFL App is provided here on Crowd Support we do not monitor other websites,

until your message I was not aware of this issue.

 

Thanks in part to your feedback auto-play of videos in articles will now be turned off, although this won't come into effect until the next app updates

are released through the stores.

 

Please let us know if there are any further questions or concerns.

Thanks for your message, apologies for any issues with the AFL App.

 

Customers in general prefer the videos to auto-play, you are the first to request 

they do not. I will pass the feedback onto the development team, in the meantime

it's easy to pause the video, or turn down the volume if that's the issue.

Actually, they're not the first customers to request it.

 

The response last time that it was requested was that the Videos in articles autoplay at the request of the AFL.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

You are correct the AFL has requested articles with a video embedded at the top of the article to auto play,

Thanks for the response Aaron but it's a silly response. Search the whole Web and there's literally hundreds of people railing against autoplay. Common courtesy would be to at least give your customers the choice rather than dissuading them from using the app at all.

@Brodsky as it is a request from the AFL (which basically means that Telstra has to do it), voice your concerns directly with the AFL as that is the only effective method to get your concern noted.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
