afl live - oops error when trying to activate free pass

I have just signed up with Telstra and am trying to activate my Live pass.
I click through to "Free for Telstra Mobile Customers" then i get a load screen with the error message "Oops... We're having a technical issue. Please try again.
When i try again i get the same error.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
I have tried clearing app data/cache with the same issue

Thanks for getting in touch with us .


When you are activating your Season Pass for the first time, you will need to turn off Wi-Fi and connect to the Telstra Network so we can verify you are a Telstra customer. When that's complete you can switch back to your Wi-Fi network as usual.
