Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

I think @Jupiter has summed it up pretty well, if you head to settings and find the AFL App,

you can find permissions. Please ensure location permission has been granted for the AFL App.

You could also uninstall and reinstall the AFL App, and when you open again for the first time, ensure

you give it permission to location when running through the setup.
