How do I go about activating a replacement SIM

I have tried following various posts but these do not help me.

Via "My Telstra" I ordered replacement SIM

SIM arrived, placed into phone and nothing I try will get it to "see" Telstra.

I even went in to review orders in "My Telstra", no details.

Assuming SIM not activated, cannot use previous SIM as this is the wrong Size for the replacement handset.

Handset is a "Aspera" for a person with disabilities.

Any instructions on activation received with the SIM?

Have you power cycled the handset since changing the SIM?

You might also need to wait a while for the Telstra system to recognise the SIM and activate it - could be a few hours..

Thanks Stevo, yes power cycled many times, over an 8 hour period.

Found a link, https://say.telstra.com.au/customer/general/forms/activate-your-mobile so I'm trying the online activation.

2-4 hours they say.

Gool, that link should have come with the SIM..  

 

Yes, it takes a while for the Telstra systems to get aligned..  

 

But I know, it's really hard to just sit and wait for the activation...

Hey Stevo,

Well all that was in the Post pack was a SIM card.

I'm assuming since I placed the order on the Thrusday and received it on the Monday it was the one I ordered.

18 hours later, power cycling the handset, no joy.

I shall just wait.

Considering that you have allowed for the “2-4 hours they say.” then it appears time to contact Telstra Support and query why the SIM card has not been activated.

 

You can contact them via the chat built into the Help section of the My Telstra app, or by calling 132200 (9am - 8pm AEST Weekdays).
