HTC Velocity 4G - Unlocked?

Answered

Will Telstra unlock the phone for me? I'm going overseas and going for a native SIM vs. buying the roaming pack from Telstra. I tried the roaming pack and had terrible connectivity, so I really don't want to do it again.

Thanks!

Re: HTC Velocity 4G - Unlocked?

As far as I'm aware, HTC Velocity 4G handsets are sold unlocked ‘out of the box’. If you're still in Australia, I suggest you ask to borrow a friend's non-Telstra SIM for a few moments, and see if you're able to connect to a different carrier network locally using that SIM in your handset.
