Mobile network disconnected

my prepaid mobile can still text and call but it will not use my credit (which i have over $10 of) to access the internet i have tried all the fixes including resetting the network settings, restarting the device turning airplane mode on and off etc. but still no internet the SIM status says mobile network state: Disconnected. why and how do i get this fixed. Its supposed to be a mobile phone not a small Desktop Pc, its a nokia 8 sirocco

I also had this issue with my Nokia 8. If you are in Adelaide it might be caused by the rollout of IPv6. I found this solution on the Whirlpool Forums which worked for me:

- Settings; Network & Internet; select Mobile network Telstra
- press the Advanced drop down
- press Access point names
- press Telstra Internet (telstra.wap)
- scroll down and change both APN protocol and APN roaming protocol from IPv4 to IPv4/IPv6
- Important: press the three dot menu and select Save
- back all the way out and you're done.

Nokia 8 here with the same issue since afternoon of Fri 13 March. Done all the troubleshooting up to factory reset.

Hey @rebeccaisdaddys - if you have a new question your best bet is to post it as a new topic instead of replying to an old one. But the answer is you can speak to the prepaid team by phone or you can just leave it alone and it will disconnect automatically 6 months after the expiry of the last recharge.
