Nokia 8 no mobile data

Hi,

 

my Nokia 8 lost LTE connectivity since this morning without any changes to the phone

while LTE is lost i can still make calls and SMS is fine too

SIM works on a different phone without any issue

there are others report the same problem on Whirlpool Nokia 8 - Telstra Sim Data Not Working/Kogan Works - Android phones - Whirlpool Forums

are there any changes made by Telstra?

try the following (it worked last time this happened with the Nokia 8):

- Settings; Network & Internet; select Mobile network Telstra
- press the Advanced drop down
- press Access point names
- press Telstra internet (telstra.wap)
- scroll down and change both APN protocol and APN roaming protocol from IPv4 to IPv4/IPv6
- Important: press the three dot menu and select Save
- back all the way out and you're done.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Yep, I have the same phone and my data has been down for last two days. Just spent 35 minutes with Telstra Tech support they could not help. Changed my sim into a different phone but still no internet.
