Hi is there any way to use a new pre paid unactivated card and get it re numbered to you  old existing number

Welcome to CrowdSupport®.

 

Technically, it can be done but it's more trouble than it's worth because pre-paid services already have a number assigned to them. The easiest way would be to visit your nearest Telstra store and ask them to replace the SIM. You'll get a brand new SIM on the spot, and best of all, it's all free. Smiley Wink

 

Is there any particular reason you want to use the inactive pre-paid SIM? If so, you can always give Telstra a call on 13 22 00 and discuss it with a consultant. I personally don't see the point of doing so as SIMs are easily swapped in-store.
