We are wanting to keep our phone at the end of our 24mth contract. So now we are trying to work out what the 'Fair Market Value' calculations for the Iphone 8, 64GB, 2018 model, might be. Does anyone know how Telstra calculated this please?

That is a mystical calculation only known to Telstra (and their 3rd party reseller). I usually go by roughly a third to half of the original sale value of the phone ($350 to $500 for an iPhone 8 64GB).
