iPhone XS lost and blocked


I misplaced my apple iPhone XS a couple of weeks ago, and I need that my contract was expiring soon.

So on the day my contract expired, I went into a telstra store, and told them that I had misplaced my phone and was looking to replace it.

they advised that i can lodge a claim and pay $190 because I had mobile swap assure, I could sign up to a new mobile handset and plan on the spot.

I asked what would happen if I found the phone and they said that I could just keep it.

So I found the phone today and it appears that it has been blocked.

what can do I do to unblock it?

You will need to contact Telstra and request that the IMEI block be removed.

Either call 132200 or send a message using the My Telstra app on your mobile (connect via wifi as it is blocked). If the bot doesn't understand the query, type "Speak to a consultant" and you should be transferred to the queue to chat with a human. It can take a few hours to get an initial response.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
