My Telstra app won’t send notifications

I have an iPhone and I can’t enable notifications in the app. So when I’m trying to get a problem resolved, I have to keep checking back to it every minute or so in case I miss the response from customer service. When I go to settings/notifications, the Telstra app is not in there at all. How do I turn on notifications?
