New Phone

Why would Telstra send me a new phone and has no SIM card or QR code to activate the phone, NSW are in lock down for the last few months and I can’t seem to get anywhere. 
‘The phone they sent out are only good as a door stopper for now, well done Telstra you stuffed up again.

What was the response from Telstra Support when you made them aware of the situation?.

Had you ordered the phone against an existing number, or as a new service? You only get a new SIM if it's as a new service.


If it's ordered against an existing service, they assume that you are going to take the SIM out of your old phone and put it into your new phone.


Phones don't need activating, only SIMs require activating. 

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
