No 4G on iPhone7

Answered

Am located in a 4G area but my iPhone7 will not switch from 3G to 4G. Have enabled 4G but still no go.

Anyone had this problem?

Re: No 4G on iPhone7

Thanks for clarifying that vanman8491, with a 4G enabled device, it will automatically connect to the 4G network when available and revert back to 3G if unavailable to do so. Best to chat with Mobile Faults if you feel this is not the case after raising network feedback as above, by contacting them directly at 125 111

Re: No 4G on iPhone7

Hi vanman8491,

The Telstra Mobile Network offers 4GX in all capital CBDs and selected suburban and regional areas and is progressively rolling out to more places. In other coverage areas around Australia, you’ll automatically switch to our fastest available 4G or 3G. Obstructions – such as buildings, vehicles, trees, hills and building materials – can all reduce the signal level available for your mobile handset, tablet or mobile broadband device. Just as TV sets sometimes need external antennas to improve reception, there are cases where the use of antennas can make a significant difference to the performance of a mobile device.

You can search for any known interruptions that may be affecting services in your location at our Service Status page: http://tel.st/6x6a, and raise Mobile Network Feedback to assist with maintenance and upgrade works here: http://tel.st/4dgm

Re: No 4G on iPhone7

Thanks, am in a Regional Area (Sunshine Coast) and do have a bit of trouble with reception in our hilly area. However when I travel to Brisbane shouldn't the 4G service kick in? It doesn't and I do have 4G enabled>
