Phone contract

Hello! I bought a phone recently and it’s with Telstra with a contract of paying an amount monthly for a year so I set up direct debit and the first payment was set for a few days ago and the amount has gone from my bank account but on the Telstra app, it says it’s still overdue. Has anyone else had this issue?

At times our app will not update instantly. The balance normally gets removed from the app once the following bill is generated. Hope that helps.
