I presume you're referring to the Pre-Paid mobile phone Plus Pack's.
Yes, I've had trouble redeeming a Talk pack for a Telstra Pre-Paid mobile phone service"s.
You'll have to get a Telstra Consultant to manually add the Plus Pack to your Pre-Paid service.
This is how I got the Plus Pack added to a Pre-Paid mobile service: Try ringing 132200, if the bot lady asks the reason for your call say "having trouble redeeming a Plus Pack". Then I chose the number to enter for something like "Fault" or "Technical fault", then I was put through to a Consultant to manually add it.
In the below link you'll see that this problem is happening to a lot of Pre-Paid customer's.
