Do you mean that you have a an active SIM & account and the phone isn't working properly?

Is it Prepaid?

What are the symbols at the top of the phone telling you (does it say SOS/NoSIM/4G/LTE)?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it
