Sim card not activating
I received a Telstra sim-card one week ago and went online to lodge the activation. My number is to be ported from Vodafone.
It has not worked - I have no service and when I go to do the activation again it says it is either already active or that it can't be done.
I want the Telstra card activated ASAP and my bill amended as I am not paying for the one week of not being able to make any calls.
Was this helpful?
- Yes it was, thank you
- No, I still need help

Re: Sim card not activating
To discuss getting your charges waived while you haven't been able to use your phone, you will need to discuss with billing either via the My Telstra app or Livechat.
Assuming that you are on an iPhone, have you tried resetting the network settings, then shut down the phone and restart?
Does your Vodaphone SIM still work? If so, then the porting hasn't ben done (which happens from the Vodaphone end).
Have you tried the SIM in a different handset?
