Hi @Secundus,

 

Have you initially had International Roaming activated for your mobile service? 

 

You are able to check via your My Account here:  https://www.my.telstra.com.au/myaccount/home for the status once clicking on the mobile service in question. 

 

If listed as active you can check network settings in the handset to see if it will list the local networks in the area. 

 

However if all looks to be ok in your My Account but still unable to pick up on a local network, our Mobile Faults team can assist via Live Chat here: 

 

  https://www.telstra.com.au/chatnow/landing from 7am-midnight EST.
