Re: Telstra#staysafe
Not an option. When I go to work this comes up on my phone and I cannot access the internet. I can only make emergency calls ???
Same happens when I go next door which I am by law allowed to do.

Re: Telstra#staysafe
It's the name that the network broadcasts (only visible on iPhones). It doesn't do anything to your phone.

Re: Telstra#staysafe
The carrier name on an iPhone is only able to be controlled by the carrier. Telstra just updated their listed carrier name, so until they choose to update it again it will show that way for all iPhones on Telstra mobile connections.
Internet not working or outage in your area? - Check the Outage page for details and troubleshooting.
Help with an account issue? - LiveChat 24x7 support
View Usage, Bills and more - Check it out on MyAccount
Previously worked with a Telstra Partner however I am not a Telstra Employee, just a fellow customer helping when I can.

Re: Telstra#staysafe
I understand the Why and How Telstra push does it.
BUT...
I simply object to the waste of limited banner space on my iPhone SE-2.
... and the feeling of "Big Brother is Watching" (was it Camus' 1984).
However (groan), since when does Telstra take any notice of it's Users - i.e We who PAY them.
