Transfer number to new sim

I am going from prepaid to post paid.  Got a new sim sent out in the mail and I want my old number transferred to it.  The online chat says I need to wait 3 - 5 business days for this to happen, which is ridiculous for Australia's biggest telco.  Had I known this I would have not cancelled my pre-paid number until I was certain it was transferred.  This is unacceptable for work and parents - am I supposed to provide everyone in my phone book with my temp number for a week - surely not.

Were you presented with an option to use an existing number when you signed up for the new plan?.

You could visit a Telstra Store and see if they can assist you.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.
