I have an old iphone 4 which is locked to the Telstra network. I have a sim from another carrier that I want to use in this old phone.
I've tried unlocking through the telstra unlocking page and just get an error ("There seems to have been a problem, try again later...").
I've been into the telstra store and they've advised that its a very old IMEI number and "appears" to be unlocked but I should update the software on the phone through iTunes to make sure.
Software is up to date and the phone will sync etc... but I still cant use this phone with a sim from another carrier.
I need a contact (in telstra) who can unlock this old phone from the telstra network.

Thanks for contacting us. Was the handset purchased as a Telstra pre-paid device?
You can try to unlock the device here https://tel.st/3dtsw, if that is not successful I would advise calling 132200 and say unlock phone.
