Re: Apple Music Free subscription with existing family account
Hi stan59,
Welcome to CrowdSupport
You need to activate the subscription for the eligible device via MyAccount. At this point in time we don't support 'Family' Subscriptions, only Single Device Subscriptions.
For more information check out our Apple Music FAQ http://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Apple-Music-KB/Apple-Music-FAQs/ta-p/484653

Re: Apple Music Free subscription with existing family account
@stan59 - Streaming Apple music is unmetered regardless of how you signed up to the Apple music subsription. So if you have an existing family account, any of those family members streaming directly on their device with a Telstra SIM in it will not have the data counted.

Re: Apple Music Free subscription with existing family account
Yes Kalak, I apologize for the confusion caused.
Since 23rd August, Telstra customers can now enjoy unlimited music streaming with Apple Music. Whether you joined Apple Music with Telstra or directly with Apple, if you’re a Telstra mobile customer, you can listen to songs, playlists, albums and radio stations and it won’t count towards your data allowance. Video content and non-music content will incur data charges when using Apple Music. FairPlay policy applies. For use in Australia only of course.

Downloading music for offline listening will also incur data charges.
