Apple Music with Telstra Subscription does not work properly
Having been offered a free 12 month (telstra) subscription to Apple Music (and after signing up via the 24/7 app) - I recieved an SMS saying I will be informed when it is working (48 hours later) nobody seems to have pushed the OK button?
As my Telstra bill is paid and my Apple ID is also operational I don't understand the delay.
You can set up Apple music itself in about 2 minutes so... Why the delay for an offer Telstra knew it would be making to a lot of people?

When you look in My Account/24x7 app, does it show that you have access to the Apple Music? It should show as a subscription against the number you registered with. Also have you tried logging in to the Apple Music app - what happens when you do this?
