Hi why_do_i_bother, The steps below will arrange this for you:
- Open the Music app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap For You.
- Tap the Account icon in the upper right corner.
- Tap View Apple ID and enter your password if prompted.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Apple Music Membership.

The Family subscription is not able to be billed to your Telstra account. If this was the subscription you were wanting to use, then you will have to cancel the Telstra subscription to this Apple Music service and then have a new one started with Apple Music directly under their billing options.
