Apple music

Through my Telstra mobile plan I've made monthly payments for Apple music and have used it for some time now. Recently my mobile plan was updated by Telstra and not by my choosing and now I cannot access apple music as per usual. I have an apple account and it says I'm logged in but it's saying I need to purchase it. When my plan changed would telstra have cancelled my apple account even though I'm still paying for it?
