ADF contract suspended but bill received

Prior to deployment with the ADF I requested to suspend my Telstra mobile phone contract, which was approved. I provided specific dates for deployment. The first 2 bills I received were in credit, however my recent bill requests payment. I am not in Australia at present, how can this be rectified?
