ADSL billing period - new customer

Answered

My ADSL service was activated today, 10 Sept 2013. In "My Services" under the "Usage" tab, it says my Current Bill Period is 10 Sept - 16 Sept.

As I am on the 50GB Elite plan, does this mean i have the whole 50GB to use in this 6 days?

And am I going to be charged the whole monthly fee for this 6 days? Or is it pro-rata?

Re: ADSL billing period - new customer

The whole lot will be on a pro-rata basis (data & cost). Jus tbe aware that your next bill will include the cost for the initial 6 days, plus the next month.  So you should have about 9.8GB or so for the 6 days (approx 1/5th of a month)

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Cheers Jupiter.

I've used 10.7gb so far and my speed hasn't slowed (winning).

That's good to hear.

If you look at one of your usage warning emails, they should indicate to you the exact amount of usage you have available to you for the billing period, just to make sure you don't spend tomorrow shaped.

Hi All,

I just wanted to clarify something. Your monthly cost does get pro-rated however we have recently changed so that you get your full data allowance even though you are only paying for a portion of the month. This is the same for new services and changing plans mid-month Smiley Happy
