Being overcharged for device repayment installation

Second year in a roll. I have problem with the device payout among. The device costs $1599. Monthly repayment is $66.62 and I had already paid 11 months ($732.82) plus $15.04 prorated from the day the contract started. So $1599 - $747.86 = $851.14. But when I tried to do preorder for the new iPhone 13, the device payout is stated $866.12. I had been trying to sort that out with the chat consultant but he insisted the amount showing is correct. Has anyone had the same issue??

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

If you have proof of your payments, try raising it with another consultant.

Because they're too lazy to check my bills from Oct 20.

Phone handset repayments are done as either 12, 24 or 36 equal monthly repayments. They are not subject to a prorata payment.

If you raise the issue with another consultant and have the same response, then obtain a reference number and lodge a complaint.

@Chineseguy34 Jupiter is not wrong, There is no  prorata on your bill.

the $15.043 relates to a part month charge from the start of your contract.

Note the dates. 26 Oct to 01 Nov that's a charge for the first 6 or 7 days of your contract.

Hi, I'd like to mention that if we can be of further assistance here, please let us know. Our team that monitor the social channels are available 24 x 7 and this would be a good team to get in touch with if you needed some explanation on your bill. We would also be able to have a closer look into your account by verifying your identity, something we're unable to do here.
