Bill dispute

HI I'm hoping someone can help. I went on a 3 day cruise around Sydney back in Feb. I was away from my children and was having alot of anxiety so called them a couple of times on my phone. What I didn't realise is I was actually being charged international rates and I received a bill of over $800. I simply cannot afford to pay this amount. I'm wondering if there is any way I can appeal this? I feel so stupid and that I should have known this but I honestly didn't as I was in Australian waters I thought the same rates would apply. Please help!!

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Hi Worried1_,

It can be confusing when you're out to sea, I'm sure that bill was a shock to you.

I would suggest talking to our billing team on the following secure chat link to see how they can help  http://tel.st/49kl

Hello
Yes I was in Australian waters the whole time. I will get in contact with the cruise line. Thanks for your help.

Re: Bill dispute

Yes it definitely was! I feel really stupid for not knowing the rules. I'm normally really diligent when travelling but as I was in Australia I didn't think it would matter if I made a couple of calls. I don't travel well when I'm away from my children. I hope we can work something out.
