Hello, I cannot setup direct debit. I log in to https://www.my.telstra.com.au and click set up a direct debit. I click new bank account, and enter my account name, BSB, and account number. When I click submit I get an error: 'Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred and we're not able to process your request at this time. Please try again later.' Can you please help

Any chance that you could try to set it up via the My Telstra app?
https://www.telstra.com.au/mytelstra
Sometimes browsers and a couple of other things can cause issues so it would be interesting to see how you go with the app?

At first I got the same error message, but I noticed that my bank account was added. I then clicked submit on that and got a confirmation message that direct debit was setup.

Hi @Nurserobbo
They have probably been doing some tweaking and you got caught in the middle of it?
I've noticed Telstra is rather slow in fixing website/account issues. Let's hope your next Direct Debit goes through ok :-)
