Changing from plan to prepaid

Hi, I went to a store 2 days ago to change my plan to a prepaid right before a went overseas for 2 months. The guy said it would be done in 24 hours, but now 2 days have passed and I have no idea if the plan was changed, I received no email (he said we would), and we are now in Vietnam, so can't go there to ask him.
Anyone knows how to know? My telstra app doesn't say anything either
